How to Post

Please read the instructions on how to post before you post your fills to the community. Posts which do not follow these instructions will not be approved, and you will have to resubmit.



1. Fills which are based on a single prompt should not be posted to the community individually, but only as part of a bingo.

2. Extras may be posted to the community individually.

3. If you believe you have accumulated enough points to win a prize, please say so in your post.

4. In the subject line, put what type of fill you are posting, eg. 'Bingo - vertical line' or 'Bingo - blackout' or 'Extra - postage stamp'.

5. In the body of your post, please use this format:

Number of fills:
Fandoms: List each fandom which appears.
Prompts: List every prompt you have filled.

6. Please place your fill headers under a cut, using this code: [lj-cut text="Click to read more"], replacing the square brackets [] with angle brackets <>.

7. Fic headers should look like this:

Title: Fill Title . You can make your title a link to the fill with this code: [a href="link to fill goes here"]Fill Title goes here[/a], replacing the square brackets with angle brackets.
Fill Medium: At this stage, either fic or podfic.
Fandom/Pairings:
Rating:
Content notes: (Or warnings if you prefer) You are required to include content notes for the following if they appear in your fill: character death, rape/non-con, dub-con, incest, underage (for the purposes of this community, any explicit sexual content involving characters under the age of 18), abuse and any type of self harm. Writers are encouraged to include comprehensive content notes for the safety and convenience of readers and to include additional notes as they deem appropriate, but readers are advised that mods will not be enforcing the use of content notes beyond those listed above.

Other types of posts
As this challenge does not have an end date, I plan to create a round-up post each six months, which contains links to all the fills posted in that period.

Recs posts by members will be allowed at specific times to be announced.

Rather than trying to police who has posted a recs post when, what about having semi-annual "rec weeks"? Perhaps a rec post with commentary on each of the stories could count toward a fill during that time or could be some kind of special extra.

This could work well. I'll remove the other rule about rec posts and look at this some more.

Something like, for one week any rec posts are allowed, and they can earn points if:
-they all fit one prompt,
-are at least 10 recs,
-if at least half the recs are things created for this challenge, -and at least half the recs are 20k words or more? (Because longfic)

That sounds good. That would encourage people to read the works done for this comm.

Getting the half and half will probably be difficult in the comm's early days, but there's no reason that the specifics of each "rec week" challenge couldn't be tailored with that in mind.
